Little city dwellers become outdoor adventurers the moment they set foot on our beautiful 21-acre campground in the foothills of Harriman State Park. And the transformation we see is nothing less than astounding.
Camp Craft gives children the tools and experience they need to be in the wilderness. Campers will learn to build and sustain a fire, appreciate nature, and feel comfortable in the outdoors. Camp Craft is also the place where challah is made each week for Shabbat!
At Camp Settoga campers will have the opportunity to work in our beautiful garden. In our first year we grew eggplant, squash, cucumber, tomatoes, flowers, mint, basil, broccoli, and more. Oftentimes what is grown in the garden is used in our cooking activities to create a "farm-to-table" feel at camp.
The hiking program offers campers the opportunity to explore our natural surroundings in a more direct way. With hiking trails right off of our property, children do not have to go very far to have an incredibly special hiking experience.
