Are you interested in having the best summer of your life? Do you want to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, fun, and meaningful environment? Then apply to work at the JCC Manhattan’s Camp Settoga!

You’ll have the chance to create memories for campers that will last a lifetime, the opportunity to serve as a role model, and create strong bonds with campers and staff alike. In addition, you’ll make new friends, serve as an essential part of a strong, joyful community, and learn and improve upon your skills.

Positions Include:


Photographer : Experience with photographing children in action and outdoors. Able to teach digital photography to children.


Unit Head : Units are split by age (4 - Nitzanim; 5 - Chaverim; 6 - Tzofim; 7- Magshimim; 8 - Nivonim; 9-12 - Chalutzim). Each Unit Head is responsible for overseeing one unit. Responsibilities include training the unit's counselors throughout the summer, conducting two evaluative meetings, and continuing check-ins with counselors as needed; communication with parents regarding camper well-being and growth; daily supervision; and relaying information from the leadership staff regarding schedule changes/updates, transportation information/updates, special event information/updates, etc.


Outdoor Specialist : Basic knowledge of gardening and fire pits. Work includes tending to the garden with the campers, grilling food picked in the garden on the campfire, and baking challah on the campfire on Fridays.


Cooking Specialist : Ability to create an innovative, creative, and healthy weekly menu, and instruct campers in cooking. Must be able to prepare orders for each week, including large quantities.


Adventure Course Specialist : Comfort with heights.
Responsible for guiding campers through a 16-element challenge course and three-sided rock wall. Must be adventurous, patient, and responsible.
